University of Kansas
At the University of Kansas, I had the opportunity to conduct the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and University Band.
The performances in the video highlight select works performed with each ensemble, representing a wide range of composers, styles, and grade levels.
One particular highlight includes a performance at the 2025 World Expo in Osaka, Japan, where I lead the KU Wind Ensemble in the Asian premiere of Skybound by Kansan composer, Grace Baugher Dunlap.
Clay Center Community Schools
Prior to starting my graduate work at the University of Kansas, I taught for three years at Clay Center Community Schools. My time there included me leading the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade bands at the Middle School and assisting with the HS Band.
The following video is some selected highlights from performances throughout the years with those various groups.
One of my favorite memories includes each year conducting the annual “Stardusters” pops concert. This annual program has happened every year since 1943 in Clay Center and in addition to conducting, I also designed all the lighting for the program.
